I will speak to him with ink and a page. He never listened when I used my mouth. So he will see, now, just who I am, what words I master, And he can’t shut them off from being heard Because I will make them burn against the whiteness that he reads off of And I will be selfish, just this once, as to what I want him to awaken to.
But no he does not listen. And no he does not absorb my pain. Because the words are words and his mind twists them to artificialness. So I will speak to him no more of reality. All that he will receive is a wind from my lungs and pretty words

One Hour Photo GirlThe photo machine had bad breath tonight. I had to open up its right side to find out why it was whining So loudly. Its breath popped out hot and moist. It smelled like a goldfish had died in its chemicals Deep down. “Manager to the front.” Even he didn’t know why the red light was flashing. I think it was telling us it wanted to die. DollhausenMy doll and I sit and watch television on Fridays. Our favorite shows are on after seven. She sits up in bed with me after we brush our teeth. Her name is Dollhausen.
When Daddy comes home and Mommy yells at him, I go upstairs. I take Dollhausen into my arms and we lay together. We push our ears to the floor, and our tears spill out.
Mommy once asked me what the dark spot on my carpet was from. I told her Dollhausen’s tears were dirty. She didn’t believe me. I wouldn’t tell her my tears were dirtier.

Today was a very special day. The wind was blowing, the sun was shining, and the snow was positively melting off the face of the pavement. It was glorious to feel. Not so much to smell. BUT, just think! Spring...it's coming...
